Fred Rogers was not only the star of his own kid-friendly TV show (which was called Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood); he was also a song-writer, a puppeteer, and an ordained Presbyterian minister. But more importantly, he was a very nice man.
Mr. Rogers said, “There are three ways to ultimate success. The first way is to be kind. The second way is to be kind. The third way is to be kind.” And he was right. It’s always nice to be nice, and it’s always the right time to be courteous.
It’s Nice to be Nice
Life is short, but there is always time for courtesy.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
He who sows courtesy reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.
Politeness is an inexpensive way of making friends.
Kindness is a golden chain by which society is bound together.”
Rudeness is the weak man’s imitation of strength.”
Good manners are nothing more than the practical application of the Golden Rule.
Do to others what you want them to do to you.
Matthew 7:12 NCV
