President Abraham Lincoln led his nation through the dark and difficult years of the Civil War. Lincoln’s time in office was incredibly stressful, and he struggled at times to maintain a positive attitude. But he never gave up.
President Lincoln understood that he needed to stay positive, and his advice to others was the same advice he gave to himself. He said, “Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any one thing.”
So the next time you’re in a tough spot, don’t give up and don’t give in. Instead, stay positive and keep working. With a positive attitude, better days are right around the corner.
It Pays to Have a Positive Attitude
The tougher the fight, the more important mental attitude is.
Great effort springs naturally from a great attitude.
The meaning of things lies not in the things themselves, but in our attitude toward them.
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
Life reflects your own thoughts back to you.
If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.
Attitude is not just the way your think—it’s the way you live.
The most important decision you make each day is the decision to be in a good mood.
Each of us makes his own weather.
Fulton J. Sheen
Brothers and sisters, think about the things that are good and worthy of praise. Think about the things that are true and honorable and right and pure and beautiful and respected.
Philippians 4:8 NCV
